Treatment Approach
A Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.) treats the individual needs of patients without the use of synthetic chemicals or drugs. They offer relief from multiple symptoms with natural medicines.
N.D.‘s are trained to diagnose disease similarly to conventional physicians, utilizing patient history, physical examinations and laboratory tests. Once a diagnosis is established, a Naturopathic Doctor‘s approach to treatment differs greatly from conventional doctors.
Naturopathic Doctors treat patients by using natural treatments such as clinical nutrition, counseling, herbal medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture and physical medicine. The doctors at purehomeopathy have chosen to specialize in homeopathy due to its superior efficacy. The treatment is based on each individual patient symptoms rather than a conventional diagnosis.

Licensing
Currently, 14 states, the District of Columbia, the US territories of Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and 12 Canadian provinces have licensing laws for Naturopathic Doctors. Unfortunately, Colorado does not have a law regulating the licensing of N.D.‘s. This lack of regulations allows individuals without medical training to practice “naturopathic medicine.” Before consulting with a Naturopathic Doctor, it is important that you know their training and qualifications.
For the safety of the public, it is essential that licensing laws be established nationally. For more information on national licensing efforts, please visit www.naturopathic.org. For information on Colorado licensing efforts, please visit www.coanp.org.
